AD CONVERTER USING THE PHOTONIC CRYSTAL

An AD converter is provided to perform a high speed operation and a high resolution by using a waveguide part made of a photonic crystal for delivering an optical signal. An optical source part(110) provides an optical signal. Waveguide parts(120-1~120-4) are made of a photonic crystal, and delivers the optical signal. A modulating part(130) applies an RF signal to at least one waveguide part. The modulating part modulates the optical signal outputted from at least one waveguide part. A digital converting part(140) converts the modulated optical signal into a digital signal.
