MULTISTAGE CHANNEL ESTIMATION METHOD AND APPARATUS

A multistage channel estimation apparatus and a method thereof are provided to stably estimate a frequency of a data frame by automatically estimating signals according to an electric wave path. A receiving part(110) receives a data frame. A channel estimating part(120) calculates a first channel estimation value about a corresponding section of the data frame. The channel estimating part calculates a second channel estimation value about a changed section. The channel estimating part renews the first channel estimation value by using the second channel estimation value. A correcting part(130) corrects distortion of the data frame by using the first channel estimation value, and counts the number of corrections. The channel estimating part and the correcting part repeat operation until the number of corrections satisfies a predetermined value.
