APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR IP-ENABLED WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS

A domain name apparatus and a method thereof in IP-based wireless sensor network using a new domain naming system are provided to obtain sensor information of a region desired through an internet by using a domain name indicating the kind of a sensor and a geographic location. A sensor node information receiver(110) receives the sensor node information. The sensor node information comprises the location information of a sensor node, the kind of sensing data and IP(Internet Protocol) of the sensor node. A specific local information searching unit(120) searches specific geographical information including an administrative area address corresponding to the location information. A domain name generator(130) produces the domain name of the sensor node and specific geographical information of sensing data. A domain name register(140) binds IP of the sensor node and registers the IP in a domain name server.
