A mounting structure of a muffler in a vehicle is provided to apply relatively little impact to a fuel tank by allowing a rear floor side member to be deformed and bumped in case a muffler is separated from a rear floor side member by an impact delivering bar. In a mounting structure of a muffler in a vehicle, a muffler(18) is mounted to a rear floor side member via a fastening bolt through a mounting bracket(12). When impact is applied to the mounting bracket, a mounting bracket is separated from the fastening bolt and the rear floor side member. The mounting bracket is subject to impact via an impact delivering bar(15) through a rear side bumper(16). |
