A broadcast output device and a method thereof using a mobile terminal and a broadcasting receiver are provided to allow a user to watch broadcasting program through a broadcasting receiving device such as television. An input unit(130) receives a key input from the outside. A near field communications module(114) transmits and receives wireless signal according to a local communications system. If the prescribed key is inputted through the input unit, a controller detects the channel information with reference to the service ID of the broadcasting system. The controller transmits the channel information with the external device through the local area communications module. The local communications system is one among an IrDA(Infrared Data Association), Bluetooth, an RFID(Radio Frequency ID) and ZigBee.
