A wheel slip detecting apparatus of a vehicle is provided to determine whether ABS works or not accurately because the support of a pair of brake shoes contact and the reaction force is accurately sensed. A wheel slip detecting apparatus of a vehicle comprises a pair of brake shoes(40) which is attached closely to the inner circumference of a drum, a wheel cylinder(50) which turns the brake shoe to the inner circumference of the drum, a return spring(60) which separates the brake shoe from the drum, and a piezoelectric element(70) which is fixed to both sides of a shoe locating plate(30) so that the brake shoe is supported. The piezoelectric element senses the reaction force caused by the brake shoe in braking and the reaction force caused by braking-torque and transmits a wheel speed to an electronic control unit and determines whether ABS works.
