The arranged structure of Korean alphabets in a portable terminal is provided to allow a beginner to easily learn the character input method. A vowel input unit(20) has five input buttons. 5 and 8 are marked on two input buttons among the input buttons. Four input buttons are respectively positioned at the center and up/down/left/right sides. A consonant input unit(10) has a symbol input means(30) and input buttons(11,12,13,14,16,17,19). The symbol input means has three input buttons(31,32,33) which are positioned in four rows of a lower end. Basic sentence symbols are marked in three input buttons.
