<p>The suction device (1) has a spindle for movably supporting a tool (5) for machining a wooden workpiece. The spindle rotates around rotational axes (C, F) and is moved by a supporting part (6) parallel to a triaxial coordinate system. A suction unit (13) is connected with a low pressure source for sucking splint elements that are milled from the wooden workpiece by the tool.
