The device (1) has a support plate (6) mounted on a tubular body (4) of a channel surface box (2) and under an operating head (5) of the channel surface box. The plate includes a passage orifice for permitting passage of the tubular body and carrying supporting and bracing units that support and brace the head. A part of the supporting and bracing units is integrated to the plate, where the units include a flange ring. The support plate is made of a material selected from fiber reinforced polymer composite or ultra-high performance fiber concrete. An independent claim is also included for a method for constructing a pavement.
