PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus for processing pixel data output from an image sensing means at low power consumption, using a general-purpose memory device and outputting the pixel data to the outside. SOLUTION: A control section 146 (a BIU 22) changes at least one among the number of pixels, in conducting arithmetic processing to pixel data in parallel by arithmetic operation sections 105a to 105d, the data width in transmitting data by an image bus 126, and the data width in accessing to the memory device 23 by a memory interface 19, in response to the number of pixels of pixel data imaged by an image sensing element 10 and input in parallel with an image input section 171.
