PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new coaxial connector in which an inner shell does not move to an outer connecting sleeve and the elastic pressure contact of a gasket on plug side and a shell top end fringe of a receptacle side is not released even if a tensile force is added to a cord by some situations, and a waterproof function can be maintained. SOLUTION: This is the coaxial connector in which a plug 1 and a receptacle 2 are coupled detachably in bayonet lock type and in which a cylindrical inner shell 5 is insertion arranged from the rear side into a cylindrical outer connecting sleeve 4 constituting the plug 1, and the inner shell 5 is constructed not to move to the rear against the outer connecting sleeve 4, and for the cylindrical outer sleeve 4 and the cylindrical inner shell 5 of the plug 1, an inward level difference 10 is provided in the outer connecting sleeve 4 and an outward level difference 13 is provided in the inner shell 5 respectively. Only a gasket 17 is installed in a space 16 formed by these level differences, and the shell top end fringe of the receptacle 2 is elastically pressure contacted to this gasket 17.
