PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine with improved operability of a shooting handle without the limitation of a turning operation angle. SOLUTION: The game machine comprises the shooting handle HD unlimitedly rotatable clockwise and counterclockwise, an encoder 15 for outputting pulse signals corresponding to the rotation of the shooting handle HD, a strength setting part 11 for outputting the shooting strength signals VLM of a level corresponding to the rotation amount of the shooting handle HD on the basis of the pulse signals, a shooting part for shooting a game ball by strength corresponding to the level of the shooting strength signals VLM, and a control part for controlling the operations of the respective parts. The control part 5 repeats the first process of recognizing the rotating direction of the shooting handle HD and the second process of changing the level of the shooting strength signals by supplying the appropriate number of change pulses to the strength setting part 11 corresponding to the rotating direction recognized in the first process at every prescribed interval of time on the basis of two-phase signals received from the encoder 15.
