CONTROLLER AND FULLY AUTOMATIC BENDING SYSTEM FOR BENDING MACHINES

The invention relates to a controller for a bending machine (1) comprising an upper tool 1a and a lower tool 1b. The controller includes interfaces in order to communicate with the bending machine (1), one or more laser-assisted bending angle measuring devices (2) and one or more force measuring devices. The controller uses construction data and/or material data to calculate parameters for controlling the bending machine (1), nominal values for the angle of the parts (3) to be bent and positional data for one or more laser-assisted bending angle measuring devices (2), outputting these to the respective interfaces. The positional data can be determined in conjunction with the construction data and/or material data for the parts to be bent (3). In addition, the controller can correct the parameters for controlling the bending machine (1) using actual values from one or more laser-assisted bending angle measuring devices (2) and from one or more force measuring devices until the nominal values and the actual values are in agreement. The invention also relates to a fully automatic bending system for a bending machine (1). As system components, the bending system comprises the controller, a bending machine (1), at least one laser-assisted bending angle measuring device (2), at least one force measuring device and a respective programmable control for controlling the bending machine (1), the laser-assisted bending angle measuring device(s) (2) and the force measuring device(s). The invention further relates to a corresponding method for a bending machine (1). The fully automatic bending system with a single controller and a small number of similar interfaces permits a reduced system complexity, allowing the provision of a compact, clearly arranged, rapid system.
