<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin electrode for a solid polymer fuel cell capable of being manufactured in a short period without generating difficult-to-treat by-products, without generating clogging of pores of a gas diffusion layer due to moisture generated by fuel gas reaction and having high catalytic activity while securing excellent fuel gas ventilation. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode for a solid polymer fuel cell 4 includes a gas diffusion layer 2 having conductivity and ventilation and a catalyst layer 3 having catalyst 6 carried on a catalyst carrier. The gas diffusion layer 2 is formed of a calcination film obtained by firing a carbon nanotube, and the catalyst 6 is carried on the calcination film 2 functioning as the catalyst carrier, as well as fluorine exists in the calcination film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
