<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration actuator capable of reducing the influence of the vibration of an elastic body on external devices. <P>SOLUTION: The vibration actuator includes: a prism-like elastic body; an electromechanical conversion section for whirlingly vibrating the elastic body; a rotating body contacting the elastic body and rotating upon a drive force of the whirling vibration; and a supporting section for supporting the elastic body at corners of the elastic body. The supporting section may have elasticity for the bending of the elastic body caused by the whirl vibration.
