PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid storing container capable of detecting the remaining amount of liquid or detecting a pressurized state/a non-pressurized state even if a pressing system for introducing a pressurized fluid into a region where the liquid is stored is adopted. SOLUTION: The liquid storing container has an ink storing part 107 which discharges ink 100 by introducing a pressurized fluid (for example, air) 101 into a region where the ink 100 is stored, an ink outlet opening 127 for feeding the liquid from the ink storing part 107 to a printer 11, and ink detecting units 1 and 111. The ink detecting units 1 and 111 comprise ink storing parts 4 and 200, a sensor chip 7 and a piezoelectric element 132C applying vibration to sensor cavities 7a and 132A communicating with the ink storing parts 4 and 200 and receiving the liquid and detecting the state of free vibration accompanied by the vibration, and moving members 5 and 300 displaced in accordance with pressurized states in the ink storing parts 4 and 200 at positions opposing the sensor cavities 7a and 132A.
