PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device of higher in quality and durability than conventional ones preventing ink drops left from a recording material end part from becoming like a mist to pollute the rear face of a recording material and platen ribs. SOLUTION: An inkjet type recording device recording by discharging ink drops on the recording material has a recording head and a platen part provided on a surface facing the recording head. On the platen part, platen ribs formed to extend in a recording material conveying direction are formed at spaces in a main scanning direction, and at least one recording material suction port is provided on at least one platen rib.
