PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that there is potentially confusing when another user browses document data since the content of document data is frequently changed in a short period of time.

SOLUTION: This document editing system for editing document data through a network from a user terminal apparatus 100 includes a document management device 200 for performing the update processing or browsing processing of the document data according to a request from the user terminal apparatus 100, and the document management device 200 includes: an update processing means 220 for, concerning edit data for the document data from the user terminal apparatus 100, storing the edit data separately from the document data in a prescribed time based on the appearance frequency of the edit data of similar content; and a browsing processing means 230 for adding the separate edit data to the document data, and for presenting the document data to the user terminal apparatus 100 in response to the browsing request of the document data from the user terminal apparatus 100.
