摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce luminance unevenness by a driving device which drives an electrooptical device such as a liquid crystal device. SOLUTION: The driving device drives the electrooptical device having a pixel region (10a) formed by arraying a plurality of pixel portions, provided corresponding to intersections of a plurality of scan lines (3a) and a plurality of data lines (6a), by supplying an image signal to the plurality of pixel portions. The driving device has a polarity inverting means (110) of inverting the polarity of the image signal at every predetermined period, a correction amount determining means (120) of determining a correction amount for correcting the image signal so as to decrease a luminance difference in the pixel region in a direction along the data lines for each of the positive and negative polarities to be inverted, a correcting means (150) of correcting the image signal based upon the determined correction amount, and a supply means (160) of supplying the corrected image signal to the plurality of pixel portions by the positive and negative polarities.
