FIXING METHOD, FIXING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance fixability without causing fixing having fixing inferiority or tuck feeling by imparting a fixing liquid in response to thickness of a resin contained particulate layer on a medium in a proper amount when the resin containing particulate layer having different thickness exists on the medium. SOLUTION: A fixing method uses the fixing liquid containing a softener for softening contained particulates containing a resin by dissolving or swelling at least part of the resin, and fixes the resin containing particulates by imparting a foamy fixing liquid foaming the fixing liquid to the resin containing particulates on the medium by a foamy fixing liquid imparting means. The fixing method controls film thickness of the foamy fixing liquid on a face of the foamy fixing liquid imparting means corresponding to each region in a medium face by making the maximum thickness or more of the resin containing particulate layer in each region in response to thickness information of the resin containing particulate layer in each region two-dimensionally dividing the inside of the medium face.
