The invention describes a method associated with a service distributed among several electronic devices, consisting, on request, in initiating a collection of the set of parameters entering into the calculation of the tariff rates for this service, then in using these parameters to calculate the updated tariff rates, and finally making available the tariff rates obtained. The invention also describes a device possessing the means for providing, in collaboration with at least one other electronic device, a service to a user, and the means for initiating the making available of the updated tariff rates for this service, and collecting the set of parameters necessary for the calculation of these tariff rates.
