Quality inspection and control of vehicle bodywork components, evaluates and images defects in CAD form, classifying and associating them with bodywork specification

The bodywork component (2) is evaluated, detecting any defective locations (8, 9). The results are imaged electronically, especially in CAD form. Defective locations are marked in the images. The electronic overview image with marking is associated with the bodywork identification specification and stored in a databank. The detected features are compared with pre-recorded limiting values, in an evaluation unit. They are classified. A control signal is assigned to the tested bodywork, in accordance with the classification.
