The arm has a circulating sheet conveying system with front and rear edge gripper systems (2, 3) for step-by-step linear conveyance of a sheet (4) in a direction of a delivery stack (5). Each gripper system has two fixing elements for fixing sheet edges, where the fixing elements of the gripper systems are movable after fixing the sheet edges for developing a stabilizing deformation in the sheet transverse to the sheet conveying direction. The fixing elements are formed deviatably and/or movable transverse to the sheet conveying direction.
