DIELECTRIC CERAMICS, PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF, AND RESONATOR

A dielectric ceramic comprising crystals having a composition formula: aBaO bCoO cZnO dNb2O5 wherein the coefficients a, b, c, and d satisfy the relationships: 0.498=a<0.500, 0.066=b=0.132, 0.033=c=0.099, and 0.335=d=0.338; a dielectric ceramic which comprises crystals consisting of BaO, CoO, ZnO, and Nb2O5 and which has a peak intensity ratio IA/IB of 0.003 or above wherein IA and IB are the intensities of crystal peaks present near a 2? angle of 18° and near a 2? angle of 31° respectively in the X-ray diffraction chart; and resonators made by using the ceramics as the dielectric member.
