<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control device, a display control method, a display control program, and a recording medium for efficiently performing display of a display device of a copying machine, a multifunction machine, a computer device, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The display control device 10 of the display device 1 holds information on display positions of display areas Aa to Ac on a display screen DA of a display device 30 as display area position information in a display area holding part 12 and also holds information on display positions of display element in display areas for displaying display elements in the display areas Aa to Ac as display element position information in a display element position holding part 13, and a display position calculating part 14 calculates display positions of the respective display elements on the display screen DA based upon those display area position information and display element position information, and displays display elements that the display element information holding part 18 holds at the calculated display positions.
