<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety of a fuel cell in maintenance. <P>SOLUTION: In maintenance, a maintenance worker connects a fuel gas supply pipe 32, a fuel gas exhaust pipe 33, an oxidation gas supply pipe 35, and an oxidation gas exhaust pipe 36 to communication holes 202, 204, 206, 208 of a manual pump 200, respectively. The manual pump 200 is repetitively operated to circulate fuel gas and oxidation gas residing in the fuel cell 10 between the fuel cell 10 and the manual pump 200 with a catalyst, thereby the fuel gas and the oxidation gas residing in the fuel cell 10 react with each other in the manual pump 200 instead of the fuel cell 10. As a result, the concentration of the fuel gas and the oxidation gas residing in the fuel cell 10 is quickly lowered to quickly reduce the voltage of the fuel cell 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
