TEMPERATURE COMPENSATION TYPE OPTICAL FIBER GRATING COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature compensation type optical fiber grating component that can fix a shift amount of central wavelength by compensating change by temperature of the central wavelength, in using either the Fast axis or the Slow axis of a polarization maintaining fiber.

SOLUTION: The temperature compensation type optical fiber grating component comprises: a polarization maintaining fiber F that has Fast axis 71 and Slow axis 72 each having a different polarized wave direction and that has a grating part G in which a refractive index of a core C is periodically changed; and a fiber holding member that fixedly sticks one adhesive position and the other adhesive position which are on both sides of the grating part G of the polarization maintaining fiber F. The thermal expansion coefficient of the fiber holding member is set at a different value in using the Fast axis 71 of the polarization maintaining fiber F and in using the Slow axis 72 of the same.
