PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately drive a lens while reducing the thickness of a camera body. SOLUTION: A lens drive unit includes a lens 34, a movable member 40 holding the lens 34, a fixed member 50 movably supporting the movable member 40, a pitch driving mechanism 60 driving the moving member in a pitch correcting direction, and a yaw driving mechanism 70 driving the movable member in a yaw correcting direction. The pitch driving mechanism includes first and second magnets 62 and 64 provided on the fixed member and first and second coils 66 and 68 provided on the movable member 40. The yaw driving mechanism includes a third magnet 72 provided on the fixed member and a third coil 76 provided on the movable member. The first and second coils are disposed across the lens when viewed from a third direction orthogonal to the pitch and yaw correcting directions, and the third coil is disposed on the same side as the first coil with respect to the lens when viewed from the third direction.
