PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve color representation suitable for a subject by coping with the condition where color representation for a plurality of color pixels is difficult. SOLUTION: An image sensor comprises at least first to third color pixels, having different spectral sensitivity characteristics from one another, and a fourth color pixel having the spectral sensitivity characteristics having substantially all of the wavelength bands of spectral sensitivity characteristics of at least first to third color pixels.
