PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic transistor which has high mobility and a large current on/off ratio and is excellent in storage stability. SOLUTION: In the organic transistor having an organic semiconductor layer, the organic semiconductor layer contains at least one of compound represented by general formula (1). In the formula (1), X<SB>1</SB>to X<SB>12</SB>are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a straight chain, branched or cyclic alkyl group, a straight chain, branched or cyclic alkoxy group, a straight chain, branched or cyclic alkyl thio group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group.
