PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circular fluorescent lamp enabling to prevent an electrode from coming near or abutting on a fluorescence layer. SOLUTION: The circular fluorescent lamp includes a circular bulb 6 shaped circular with two ends opposing each other and having the fluorescence layer 7 formed on the inner face, stems 5 mounted at the two ends of the circular bulb 6, and mounts 1 each having a lead wire 3 inserted through the stem 5 in an air tight manner, and a filament 2 mounted at one end of the lead wire 3, stored in the circular bulb 6. The circular bulb 6 is formed of a first glass having a softening point of 750°C or lower. The stem 5 is formed of a second glass having a softening point of 640°C or higher.
