PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having excellent low temperature fixability and preventing problems from occurring such as fog, dropping and decrease in the density even in a long-term use in a high temperature and high humidity environment, and to provide an image forming method, a process cartridge and a developing unit using the toner. SOLUTION: The toner comprises toner particles containing a binder resin, a colorant, a resin containing a sulfur atom, and a wax, and at least a silica fine powder and a titanium oxide fine powder externally added to the toner particles, wherein the titanium oxide fine powder has a primary particle diameter of 35 to 500 nm and is subjected to a hydrophobicizing treatment.
