PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overhead traveling vehicle system facilitating construction of a side buffer, by reducing the number of support columns attached to a ceiling. SOLUTION: In the overhead traveling vehicle system, a traveling vehicle travels along travelling rails hung from the ceiling, and the side buffer is disposed to be capable of delivering an article to sides of the traveling rails. The two traveling rails 4, 5 are arranged in parallel to each other, and the side buffer 20 is positioned between the two traveling rails 4, 5 in a planar view, and supported by the two traveling rails 4, 5.
