PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stitch pulse welding apparatus capable of automatically setting necessary welding conditions (current, voltage, time) only by designating the desired bead shape. SOLUTION: In the stitch pulse welding apparatus 1, arc is generated while a welding torch is stopped, the arc is stopped after the lapse of a predetermined welding time, then the welding torch is moved to the arc restarting point separate by the predetermined moving pitch in the welding advancing direction, and the arc is repeatedly re-generated while a welding bead is formed on a workpiece by lapping scales as welding traces formed in one arc generation. The stitch pulse welding apparatus comprises a welding condition database unit 21 storing the relationship between the welding condition Tc and the scale diameter value Sr, a welding condition calculation unit 22 for calculating the welding condition Tc from the welding condition database unit 21 with the scale diameter value Sr as the input, and a moving pitch calculation unit 25 for automatically calculating the moving pitch Mp by setting the scale lapping ratio Lr.
