The valve (18) has openings (41, 42) provided for enabling a flow through the valve, where the opening (42) is closed by a closing unit e.g. ball (46). The closing unit is arranged in such a manner that the opening (42) is closed or opened based on a direction of the flow through the valve. The openings are arranged in a valve housing (43) that is provided for housing-fixed mounting within a through-hole (48). A cross section of the opening (41) is smaller than a cross section of the opening (42). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a slave cylinder.
