<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration actuator having an electromechanical conversion section. <P>SOLUTION: The vibration actuator includes: a cylindrical elastic body; an electromechanical conversion section for whirlingly rotating the elastic body; a rotating body contacting the inside surface of the elastic body and rotating upon receiving a drive force of the whirl rotation; and a dust collecting hole provided so as to be opened on the inside surface of the elastic body. The dust collecting hole may be provided on a drive surface including a contacting region as a region where the elastic body whirlingly rotating or in the vicinity of the drive surface. The drive surface may have a cone-shape annular surface on the inside surface of the elastic body, and the dust collecting hole may be provided on a region having an inner diameter larger than the contact region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
