<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power output device improving stability of a vehicle and power generation efficiency when an engine brake is operated. <P>SOLUTION: This power output device includes: an engine 2 having a rotating shaft 3; a motor generator 5 having a rotor 5a; a planetary gear mechanism 6 having a sun gear 6s, a carrier 6c, and a ring gear 6r; and an output shaft connected to the ring gear 6r. The sun gear 6s is connected to the rotor 5a, and the carrier 6c is connected to the rotating shaft 3. The power output device is provided with: a clutch 4 configured to connect/disconnect the rotor 5a and the rotating shaft 3 to/from each other; and a power output control device 11 controlling connection/disconnection of the clutch 4. The power output control device 11 controls the clutch 4 in order to connect the rotor 5a to a crankshaft 3 when an accelerator is turned off while the vehicle travels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
