PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a content reproducing device to select stream supplying devices on a network by collecting their states when the content reproducing device is powered on.

SOLUTION: The content reproducing device includes a device information collecting means connected to a network to collect device information from one or more stream supplying devices capable of transmitting their device information via the network and a content fetching means for selecting one of one or more stream supplying devices and receiving a stream according to the device information collected by the device information collecting means.
