摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of highly accurately detecting flicker in a short time period regardless of the state of a subject and a photographing scene. SOLUTION: A signal processing circuit 8 reads out an n-th line image of an image subjected to collective reset/collective transfer readout (S2). The signal processing circuit 8 reads out an n-th line image of an image subjected to rolling readout (S3). The signal processing circuit 8 subtracts a pixel output of the rolling readout from the pixel output of the collective reset/collective transfer readout in a specific column, out of both the n-th line images which are read out (S4). As a result of subtraction, the signal processing circuit 8 refers to the differential value of each line, and determines that flicker is generated, if there is a differential value not less than a predetermined threshold value and if there is a periodicity in an image vertical direction (S8).
