<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select the appropriate generation and insertion system of FEC packets corresponding to the condition of a network. <P>SOLUTION: The encoder is connected with a decoder by a network, receives packet absence information including the absence packet restoration rate, packet continuous absence rate and packet absence rate of packets transmitted to the decoder from the decoder, determines the insertion and generation system of the FEC packet which is a redundant packet for error correction to be periodically inserted in order to restore an absent packet on the basis of the received packet absence information, and on the basis of the determined insertion and generation system of the FEC packet, generates the FEC packet and inserts it to the packets to be transmitted to the decoder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
