PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission ratio variable device capable of securing high steering rigidity feeling during direct advance travelling. SOLUTION: When an absolute value of a steering angleθs is not more than an angle threshold valueθs<SB>0</SB>for determining a vehicle to be in a direct advance travelling state, an ECU supplies driving electric power to a motor by energization with the fixed energization phase (phase-fixed energization), and reduces the driving electric power according to reduction of an amount of steering angle changeΔθs which is a changing amount of the steering angleθs per unit time. When the vehicle is not determined to be in the direct advance travelling state, the ECU supplies three-phase driving electric power to the motor based on differential between a target steering angle and a motor rotation angle.
