PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power needed to drive display data in a display drive device and also reduce the heat generated in it. SOLUTION: In a configuration having a signal voltage converter 11 between a low voltage circuit 1 driven on a first power supply voltage and a high voltage circuit 2 driven on a second power supply voltage higher than the first power supply voltage; by providing a voltage supply circuit 3 to supply a third power supply voltage different from the first and second power supply voltages, a common power supply line 4 to supply the third power supply voltage to each of a plurality of output terminals 5, an output selection switch circuit 20 composed of a 2-input-1-output selector 21 to temporarily switch the display data outputted to each of the output terminals 5 through the high voltage circuit 2 and the common power supply line 4 for a predetermined period, and a display data determination circuit 10 to generate the control signal to control the output selection switch 20; the common power supply line 4 is temporarily selected without causing signal colliding when switching the display data.
