PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a disperse dye composition that is useful for dyeing a hydrophobic fiber material such as a polyester-based fiber material, has excellent high-temperature dye dispersibility and dye-retarding effect and solves troubles caused by oligomers. SOLUTION: The disperse dye composition comprises a polyester copolymer that is obtained by subjecting a dibasic acid component containing 15-65 mol% of a dibasic acid containing a sulfonic acid group and a dihydric alcohol component containing a polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of 900-3,500 to condensation polymerization and has a molecular weight of 3,000-30,000 and contains 10-40 mass% of a polyoxyethylene chain in the molecule and a disperse dye.
