PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair rinse composition excellent in effects for imparting good spreadability, good hair compatibility, excellent gloss, and excellent smoothness, when coated. SOLUTION: This hair rinse composition comprises the following components (A) to (C). (A) A fatty acid amide propyldimethylamine represented by general formula(I) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>-CO is fatty acid residues in whose total fatty acid residues the rate of≥22C fatty acid residues is≥60 mass%). (B) A higher alcohol having a 14-24C long chain alkyl group. (C) A low viscosity nonionic polymer having a 1% aqueous solution viscosity of≤500 mPa s at 25°C, and a high viscosity nonionic polymer having a 1% aqueous solution viscosity of≥1,000 mPa s at 25°C.
