PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein, when transporting wheels for automobiles and motorcycles in a factory or from a factory to the outside, protective tapes have conventionally been pasted to wheels, or styrene foam plates have been applied to both the ends of the wheels to be stored in a corrugated cardboard box, so that the former case requires time and labor for the pasting of the tapes, and makes the tapes unreusable, and the latter case requires preparation of packaging materials in accordance with the sizes of the wheels, resulting in a high cost due to the bulkiness of the packaging materials. SOLUTION: A protective cover is formed such that a circle-like plate-form cushioning material made of polyurethane foam or the like is overlapped with a piece of cloth of approximately the same size, and a stretchable material such as rubber is provided on the outer periphery thereof in a stretchable manner, so that the protective cover is made into a bag-like shape as a whole. This enables the protective cover to be removably attached to a wheel by merely pulling the stretchable material for expansion of the opening part of the protective cover, and also the cushioning material alleviates shocks to the wheel, and prevents scars from occurring.
