PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device capable of facilitating backlash control by suppressing fluctuation of backlash in a speed reducing mechanism and reducing rattling noise due to backlash. SOLUTION: A housing H of the power steering device is equipped with a gear case 14, a gear box 15, and a stub case 16 adjacently disposed in the vertical direction. A worm wheel 12 and a worm 13 constituting the speed reducing mechanism 8 are supported by the single gear case 14. A portion near a lower end of a pinion shaft 6 engaged with a rack shaft 9 is rotatably supported by the gear case 14 via a first ball bearing 23. An outer ring 23A of the first ball bearing 23 is press-fitted and fixed in an annular bearing receiving part 22 provided to the gear case 14, and the pinion shaft 6 is press-fitted and fixed in an inner ring 23B of the first ball bearing 23.
