#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves arranging a rivet sleeve (4) i.e. blind rivet, in a through hole (3) of one of components (1, 2). The sleeve is deformed in a sectional manner by driving a joining pin (10) into an opening (5) of the sleeve such that a form fit rivet connection of the components is produced. The pin is guided into the opening of the sleeve, where the pin realizes a rotation movement that causes a relative movement between the pin and the sleeve. The sleeve is fixed in the hole during rotation motion of the pin. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for joining two components. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The joining pin is guided into the opening of the rivet sleeve, and realizes the rotation movement that causes relative movement between the joining pin and the rivet sleeve, thus enabling additional heating up of material of the rivet sleeve, and hence enabling metallic material of the rivet sleeve to be soft and/or plastic deformable, reducing energy expenditure necessary for deformation of the rivet sleeve and producing high-strength rivet connections.
