<p>The invention relates to a method and machine for producing covered yarns and to the resulting covered yarn. According to the invention, the filamentary element having a yarn core to be covered (24) is supplied at an adjustable speed from one or more feeding spools (21) along a linear path to a collection spool (13), without twisting and with control of longitudinal tension. Subsequently, the filamentary element (24) is driven by pairs of contact drag rollers (10), with the drawing forces exerted being controlled. Next, the covering yarn or yarns (27) are supplied by means of respective spools (23) moving along circular paths concentric with the filamentary element to be covered (24), simultaneously with the linear movement of the latter, said covering yarns (27) being supplied at constant points along the length of the path of the covering yarn (27). In this way, a non-twisted covered yarn (18) is obtained, which prevents breaks from occurring in the core yarns (24) and the covering yarns (27).</p> |
