<p>An apparatus and method for improving transmitting/receiving performance based on location information of a Mobile Station (MS) in a communication system are provided. The method includes measuring coordinates of the MS to obtain the location information by using a navigation device, measuring received signal strengths of each Base Stations (BSs) according to the location information and transmitting the measurement result to a serving BS, receiving regional cell status information generated from the serving BS, and performing a transmitting/receiving operation according to a MS location included in the regional cell status information.</p> |
