<p>The invention relates to a facility for crimping opening members of motor vehicles, comprising at least one handling robot (1) designed to transfer the parts constituting the opening members that are to be crimped to crimping piles (3), at least one robot (4) equipped with crimping rollers that is designed to crimp the parts of the opening member which are placed on the crimping pile (3), and at least one handling robot (2) designed to transfer the crimped opening members to a storage area, characterized in that it comprises at least two horizontal and parallel elongate supports (5, 6) for the purpose of fixing and adjusting the position of each robot (1, 2, 4) along the longitudinal axis of the two supports (5, 6), and an aligned series of crimping piles (3) between the two elongate supports (5, 6), each of the piles (3) being designed to hold a predetermined type of opening member that is to be crimped, the number of piles (3) corresponding to the number of different vehicles that are to be equipped with opening members, the two elongate supports (5, 6) each supporting a number of robots which are equipped with crimping rollers, one of the supports (5, 6) supporting a first handling robot (1) at one of its ends, and the corresponding opposite end of the other support supporting a second handling robot (2).</p> |
